New Ibiza Hotels for Summer 2013


If you follow the news feeds covering Ibiza then you probably won't have missed the big hotel opening of the Summer with the introduction of the Ushuaia Tower in Playa den Bossa. Previously a fairly ordinary 3 star Fiesta hotel, but now given the Ushuaia Extreme Makeove that so successfully created the Ushuaia Ibiza Beach Hotel. The Tower will have a cool roof top pool that, for anyone who knows Playa den Bossa well will not only be one of the places to be seen but I imagine the view of the Easyjet from Luton will be even more stunnining that it is from the ground at Bora Bora Beach Bar...we look forward to getting our invitation for the opening party...Meanwhile David Guetta has just been confirmed for a 9 week residency at the Ushuaia, every Monday night in July & August. And word on the street is that the Ushuaia Tower is just the start of a €300 Million investment in developing Playa den Bossa in to a high end resort.. watch this space  for further updates.

But it's not all about the Ushuaia... elsewhere in Playa den Bossa 2013 sees the operning of the brand new Ibiza Santos Coast Suites Hotel. This beach front boutique hotel has only 39 rooms, and all have been decked out in a cool style. All the rooms have been names after famous Saints..including "Saint" Jimmy Hendrix. Although no details have been released yet there will be a DJ party twice a week from 5pm to midnight.

Meanwhile on the other side of Ibiza Town Destino is a new luxury hotel from the guys behind Pacha that is close to completion and due to open on 1st June. It has taken the site of the old One Hotel Ibiza and offers high end accommodation for lazy days by the pool and hedonistic nights out in Ibiza Town.

And it's not just about the new boys in town as the trusted favourites and the stalwarts of Ibiza are gearing up for Summer 2013 with Blue Marlin at Cala Jondal getting ready for their opening party on 30th March..it's great to see the summer is nearly starting... we wish all the Ibiza venues, new and established, a great Summer...we'll be there.. will you ?
